The Logo
Elara is named after the eighth moon of Jupiter and his beloved in Greek mythology; symbolising love, light, and prosperity. Our crescent logo reflects this lunar inspiration. Fittingly, the name was conceived on the 8th of August, echoing its celestial origins.
Our founder and perfumer trained in Paris at one of the world’s most esteemed fragrance institutions, gaining a deep respect for the precision, discipline, and elegance of French perfumery. This experience shaped a thoughtful, minimalist approach; where every note serves a purpose and simplicity reveals true complexity.
Imagined in Paris but born in Mumbai; a city that continues to inspire us every day. It’s where a young girl first dreamt of building a fragrance house, and where that vision took form. Mumbai’s contrasts, energy, and emotion are woven into the soul of Elara Labs, grounding our work in a sense of place, purpose, and possibility.
Meet The Founder
Dishita Shah is the founder and perfumer behind Elara Labs; a dream imagined in Paris and brought to life in Mumbai. Fragrance has been her lifelong language of inspiration, curiosity, and comfort. This passion led her to ISIPCA, one of the world’s most esteemed perfumery schools, where she spent three years immersed in the art and science of scent. In Paris, she developed a deep respect for the precision, history, and quiet sophistication of French perfumery; an influence that continues to shape her work.

Rooted in the vibrant contrasts of Mumbai, Dishita draws inspiration from the city’s energy, emotion, and spirit. She treats every ingredient as a character, with its own personality, voice, and purpose; and approaches each creation with love, patience, and uncompromising attention to detail. For her, every fragrance is a story, built with care and intention. At Elara Labs, she blends chemistry and poetry to create scents that are clear, thoughtful, and deeply felt.
